Here is the house:
Not architecturally significant (as far as I can tell), but a cool 1955 rancher.
The house has three bedrooms and two baths in 1377 square feet. Not large, but plenty enough for the two of us and two dogs.
Walking into the house, you enter into the living room. We have an amazing fireplace that is now covered with an unfortunate looking teak mantle.
If you are actually in the house, it is hard to focus on the architecture of the house given the smell emanating from the old carpets. They will be the first thing to go.
Opposite the fireplace, there is a kitchen and beautiful backyard. The yard was definitely the selling point of the house.
So stay tuned as we take out the weird trim, the smelly carpet, bland tile, the tchotchke wall hangings, the bad blinds, and everything else left behind. More on all of this later.
